Cycling Events in Sun Prairie

In an effort to support the use of bicycles in and around our city, we are putting on cycling activities and providing support for the following local events. For more details, please visit each event page or send a note using the contact form at the bottom of the page.

We enjoy cycling in and around Sun Prairie. We hope you will as well.

2019: Local Events

APRIL

  • Spring Public Meeting – Thursday, April 4, 2019 (6:30 – 7:30pm)
    • The Colonial Club Dining Room, 301 Blankenheim Ln, Sun Prairie, WI 53590

MAY

  • National Bike Month
  • Sun Prairie Lions Bicycle Rodeo – Saturday, May 4, 2019
    • SPBAG volunteers will provide bike mechanical support.
  • Sun Prairie Ride of Silence – Wednesday, May 15, 2019
    • A ride to honor those who lost their live or were injured while bicycling
  • National Bike to Work Week – May 13-17, 2019
  • National Bike to Work Day – Friday, May 17, 2019
    • SPBAG will set up a commuter station. Location to be determined. Looking for volunteers to greet riders and hand-out gifts.
  • Pedal for Paws – Wednesday, May 22, 2019
    • Creekside Elementary School
      • SPBAG will set up and provide bike parking. Looking for volunteers to work the bike parking space.

JUNE

  • Wisconsin Bike Week – June 2-8, 2019
  • SPBAG Brats, Brews, and Bikes Ride – Wednesday, June 5, 2019
    • Looking for volunteers to gather prize donations from local businesses, coordinate food and drinks, be route leaders, etc.
  • Colonial Club Strawberry Fest bike parking and bike ride – Saturday, June 15, 2019
    • SPBAG will set up and provide bike parking. We will also assist the event with planning the bike ride. We will need volunteers to work the parking space as well as helping with the bike ride. 

AUGUST

SEPTEMBER

  • SPBAG Slow Roll – Saturday, September 21, 2019
    • A slow, family friendly ride on Sun Prairie’s bike paths. Looking for volunteers to assist with route creation, participant check-in, being route leaders, & provide ride support.
