The Slow Roll Ride

The Slow Roll is a casually paced ride for everyone from young to old on any type of bicycle. Our intent is for everyone to feel safe while being exposed to nature and new neighbors while riding along some of the multi-use trails in Sun Prairie. Bring the family and your friends. Come for the ride, stay for the experience.

This slow-paced, family-friendly bike ride begins at 10:15 AM. Riders must wear helmets!

This is a free event. Bring your bike, helmet, water bottle, friends, family, and a smile!

Meet in parking lot, near tennis courts and Orfan Park shelter. Ride begins and ends at Orfan Park, Sun Prairie.

There is a 5mi route and a 10.5mi route utilizing off-street (multi-user) paths. Come and explore what Sun Prairie has to offer and meet like-minded people.

2017 Slow Roll

What:  A slow paced 9 mile loop along bikes paths in Sun Prairie (can be shorter distance)

When: September 23rd, 10:00 am to Noon

Where: Orfan Park in Sun Prairie
2050 Saint Albert the Great DR, Sun Prairie, Wisconsin 53590

Ride details:

Participants can check-in at park shelter upon arrival.

This slow-paced, family-friendly ride begins at 10:15 AM.

As a group, we’ll ride on the paved city bike path from Orfan Community Park, through Shonas Highlands Park (about 2 miles), past Liberty Community Park (about 1 mile), to our final destination Stoneridge Estates Park (about 1.5 miles).

Approximate total distance to Stoneridge Estates Park and back to Orfan Community Park is 9 miles.

If at any point you want stop and enjoy the parks, you can! If at any point you want to turn around and make your way back to Orfan Park, you can!

Riding Participation:

  • Riders should bring a personal bike which is in proper working condition.
  • All riders must wear a properly fitting bicycle helmet.
  • Riders should come with a positive attitude and be willing to spread the joy of cycling.
