Rattmann Rd - On-Street Bike Lanes needed!

The Sun Prairie Public Works Committee is meeting Tuesday afternoon (4-5:30pm) to discuss and possibly take actions on several bicycling related topics.

  • Rattmann Rd. - Design project - this is part of the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) 2018 and city staff has proposed to delay this project. The recently approved city map includes on-street bike facilities on Rattmann Road. This would create a link between Hwy 19, Main St. and Hoepker Rd. - we need your support to make sure that the city proceeds with the design of this road, to fully understand what right of way and Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA) between town of Burke, town of Bristol and city of Sun Prairie has to be struck. If you want to see continuation of planning and implementing on-street bike routes, please contact Alders Maureen Crombie (mcrombie@cityofsunprairie.com), Mike Jacobs (mjacobs@cityofsunprairie.com), and Al Guyant (aguyant@cityofsunprairie.com) and ask them to support the design of the Rattman Road!
