Sheehan Trails Presentation with City

Thanks to everyone who attended the meeting with the Sun Prairie Committee of the Whole on December 9th. For the second time in a year, our group filled the seats in the meeting room. What a great show of support.

Al Clark opened our discussion by introducing the Sun Prairie Bicycling Advocacy Group and then introducing Dusty Bennett. Dusty provided a PowerPoint presentation that summarized the request before handing off to Doug Rodenkirch who spoke about the two youth teams in Sun Prairie. Al Clark then summarized and led a question and answer session. Each of the members in the Committee had previously been provided a copy of our proposal so were prepared with numerous questions and comments.

We did receive positive support from many of the Committee members including Al Guyant who mentioned he supports "anything that gets kids away from the screen" and Zachary Weber who likes the idea of Sun Prairie hosting a statewide competition for NICA, the National Interscholastic Cycling Association.
